Burnsville Lake is a 968-acre reservoir located in central West Virginia, near the town of Burnsville. The lake was created by the construction of Burnsville Dam on the Little Kanawha River, completed in 1976. It is surrounded by the Burnsville Lake Wildlife Management Area, which provides opportunities for hunting, fishing, boating, hiking, and camping. The lake is popular for its bass, catfish, and bluegill fishing, and is known to be one of the best muskie fishing lakes in the state. The lake also has several boat ramps, picnic areas, and a campground with RV hookups and tent sites. Burnsville Lake is a beautiful outdoor destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
